An Atlanta native, Sherry F. Popovic graduated with a B.A. from Kennesaw State University in 1998 and worked in the corporate arena for nine years. After a career change in 2009, she turned her running hobby into a goal of becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Running Coach as founder of DIVAS Run, LLC.  She realized how running alleviated everyday stress, contributed to mental clarity and physical fitness and wanted to encourage others with her experience.

Holding certifications as a trainer and coach enables Sherry to work with walkers and runners from a 360-degree perspective. Utilizing total body gait analysis, flexibility techniques and strength training, she is able to help athletes improve their efficiency and form. While she enjoys working with seasoned athletes, she is committed to encouraging beginners that anyone can be a runner. She has coordinated and coached athletes of all ages and levels with the American Cancer Society DetermiNation Atlanta team to help them cross the finish line at the 2012 Savannah Rock N’ Roll half and full marathon.

Sherry has also been featured on CBS Better Mornings Atlanta and has appeared as a guest speaker on two local radio stations. She has volunteered on local race committees, including the Atlanta BeltLine Running Series, and trained and led warm-ups for the SHAPE Magazine Diva Dash Obstacle Run and FAAN Allergy Walk. She has provided training tips published in Atlanta Intown Magazine, and her ultimate goal is to encourage others in their running and overall fitness goals and to not give up!
